Lead Software Developer
Responsibilities:
The lead software developer assists the architect to bring to life architecture re-commendations that are made by the Solution Architect
The lead Software developer acts as the development and technical lead on complex projects, contributing to strategic vision and technical decisions, introducing process improvements, completing proof of concept projects for introduction of changes to architecture, and provide oversight on the work of other technical staff.
Responsible for code-reviews and overall code quality for the development team.
Leads the team to include, providing work direction, quality standards and mentorship
Proposes new development standards as needed, with implementation plans for new standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years Application development experience in Enterprise JAVA, must be hands-on Developer.
At least 1 year experience creating microservices using Spring Boot Framework and Java 8.
Has had technical leadership experience of at least 3 large scale projects, providing leadership to at least 4 developers on each project, with projects impacting multiple business units and with development timelines greater than 4 months each.
Experience with Play framework, Scala, Micro Services.
Full stack development experience
Hands on experience working with RESTful web services.
2+ years of experience working in Typescript and Angular framework. Ability to create custom component from the ground up using Angular framework, HTML5 and CSS3 (preferred).
1 year of hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
Experience mentoring other members of technical/development staff.
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
Having exposure to RabbitMQ, Kafka and Cassandara are a plus.
Kafka streams, Kafka Producer and Kafka Consumer experience is preferred.
